Brightstar Care Limited requires Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Co. Dublin. You will work as part of a care team to deliver care to clients in a centre. The ideal candidate must have relevant work experience and qualifications. A Healthcare Assistant (HCA) provides essential personal and nursing care to patients in private homes under the supervision of a Registered Manager. Key duties include assisting with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and companionship, requiring Care Certificate or equivalent qualification and Garda vetting. Key Responsibilities and Duties: • Personal Care: Bathing, showering, dressing, toileting, and maintaining hygiene standards. • Clinical Support: Taking and recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, and pulse), monitoring patient conditions, and assisting with clinical tasks. • Nutrition and Hydration: Assisting with meal preparation, serving meals, and feeding patients. • Mobility and Safety: Helping patients move, using equipment (e.g., hoists), and ensuring a safe, clean environment. • Documentation: Updating patient records and reporting changes in condition to nursing staff. • Emotional Support: Providing companionship and communicating with patients and their families. Requirements to Work in Ireland: • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications required. • Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and ability to work in a team. • Work Environment Settings: Home care settings. • Shifts: Often involves shift work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and sometimes night shifts.
